'Strictly come Dancing' is the BBC’s celebrity dancing extravaganza, full of glitz, sparkle, and sequins, and with its hosts Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly, has taken the nation by storm since making its grand entrance onto our screens in 2004.

A prime-time showcase of British ballroom panache, celebrity glamour and professional prowess has couples hot-step to win judge’s votes and the nation’s favour - and with over 20 million viewers tuning in to watch last year’s final, ‘Strictly’ has truly captured imaginations!

Ian has been a keystone professional dancer in the programme since Series 2, a hot favourite too: reaching the Final twice - and proving an inspirational teacher to his celebrity partners. With spectacular displays of ballroom grace, Latin fever and sharp-footed freestyle, Ian’s original and innovative choreography shines as brightly as his performances.

Back for Series 7, read on to the next page to find out more about Ian’s latest celebrity partner and the couple’s progress.

Jodie Kidd
Fashion model & television personality
reached:
Week 11, 6th place
best score:
40
Ian's highlight:
We were just like brother & sister! We had so much fun, like it wasn't hard work at all, even when the going got tough and Jodie met her hardest dance, the Jive, we still laughed all the way through rehearsals! Considering Jodie had never danced before, she turned into a really amazing ballroom dancer - and her waltz was definitely her best dance!
Jodie says:
I've had such a fabulous time. Thank you so much to everyone, thank you Ian. I've made some beautiful friends. It's been the most amazing journey, it's been brilliant. I see Ian as my brother from another mother!

Ian's highlight:
So fantastic to be partnered with Penny - tall and stunning. A real highlight was Penny's Samba - These Boots Were Made For Walking - boy, did she sell it! The dance of the series for me - absolutely iconic!
Penny says:
I often invite Ian to our house for meals and it’s changed the whole dynamic of the household: our conversation used to be all about free kicks, passes and football, now it’s paso dobles and foxtrots!

I was delighted to work with Mica, she was so hard working! By the first show she'd done over 80 hours of training! She really put her heart and soul into her Rumba.

I'm so sorry for Ian, as he's just the best teacher!!

Zoe shone throughout the series - she is so talented and mastered every dance style brilliantly. Really honoured to have created such a great dancer - who is now a true friend.

If Tess Daly decided she didn't want to present Strictly any more, I'd be chomping at the bit because I love the show!

This may sound corny, but I've always wanted to be a dancer. Ever since I was a little girl I've loved jiggling around!
